GHK-Cu (copper peptide)
A copper-binding tripeptide where topical and injectable claims need to be treated as different evidence questions.
- Evidence: Topical human literature exists; robust route-matched evidence for systemic injection has not been established.
- Important distinction: Topical evidence cannot establish injected safety or efficacy, and product speciation and formulation matter.
Most recent GHK-Cu paper
This paper tests a topical cream combining GHK-Cu with a mixed-culture ferment extract in lab, skin-explant, and clinical studies. The authors report reduced inflammatory signals, less UV-related skin damage, fewer wrinkles, and improved skin-barrier measures. Because the cream combined two active ingredients, the study does not isolate the effect of GHK-Cu on its own.
